Alexandria City School System presents SCYC with Principal's Choice Award in appreciation of outstanding service and commitment to the students of Maury Elementary.

On December 13, Santa Claus Yacht Club (SCYC) members, teachers, and other volunteers turned out at Lyles-Crouch and Maury elementary schools to sort and pack several weeks' worth of groceries for nearly 60 families. Each family also received Target gift cards to be used for purchasing Christmas gifts.

For well over a decade, the SCYC has provided nearly a month's supply of food to deserving families with the professional guidance of participating school officials and the support of their PTAs.
